How It Works
With StitchBack, you can skip the sorting, the stress and the “what do I do with all these clothes?” (Not to mention the donation bags that take up space in your car or garage.) We handle the hard part, giving you an easy and convenient alternative to donating and reselling on your own.
1. ORDER YOUR CLEAN-OUT KIT
You’ll receive 1–2 heavy-duty bags and a complimentary pickup. CHECK HERE to see if your home or office is in our pick-up area (within 20 miles of Carytown/23221).
2. FILL YOUR BAGS
We accept wearable textiles only: all sizes, all seasons, any condition. Fill your bags with adult (including maternity/nursing) and children’s clothes, shoes and accessories (jewelry, handbags, wallets, belts, hats, scarves, etc.). Follow our PACKING TIPS to keep items in good shape.
3. SCHEDULE a pICKUP
Choose a convenient time for contactless pickup, Monday-Friday, starting at 8AM.
4. wE HANDLE THE REST
Our experienced intake team reviews your items for resale. Designer/Luxury items may require authenticity. Within 30 days of pickup, you’ll receive an email with your payout details and an itemized list of purchased items. If you select our nonprofit donation service, you’ll also receive an itemized list of donated items. To learn more about this option, email info@stitchback.com.
5. GET PAID
You receive 30% of the selling price for items that have resale value. Payments are sent via PayPal. Review our payment structure on our FAQ page.
6. SUPPORT RVA
Items we can’t sell are thrifted and responsibly recycled to keep them out of landfills and support the community.
